All graduates will be walking in customized regalia specific to the University of Maryland, College Park. In doing our part to keep Maryland a sustainable campus, every master’s gown is made from 100% post-consumer recycled bottles. Each GreenWeaver® gown is made from an average of 25 plastic bottles.
As a graduate of the Online MBA program from the Robert H. Smith School of Business, each student is required to have a gown, the hood that correlates to the degree they’ve achieved, the red University of Maryland stole, cap, and black tassel with the school seal in order to participate in commencement activities. These are for purchase only and are yours to keep.

Academic regalia is available for purchase from the University Book Center (UBC). The UBC will continue to provide regalia services up until commencement. Gown sizing and hood colors may be limited after April 29. Along with full regalia packages, the UBC will stock individual pieces, including the tassel, stole, and hood.
